Junior Proposal Specialist
Overview
The Cadmus Group has an opening for a junior proposal writer and specialist to join our Energy Services team. The ideal candidate for this position is an organized technical writer and an excellent team player with previous experience working on proposals. The successful candidate will work with our existing business development team to track proposal and sales opportunities, develop winning proposals, and support business develop efforts with top-tier writing and organizational capabilities in responding to RFPs and other bid opportunities.
Cadmus is a leading provider of consulting services to utilities, government agencies and the private sector in the areas of energy efficiency, renewable and distributed energy, sustainability, utility planning and forecasting, and other professional services.
Responsibilities
Review and tracking of RFP and other bid opportunities
Preparing summaries of RFP opportunities to inform senior staff bid decisions
Support proposal initiation and kick-off with proposal managers
Develop high-quality proposal content through interviews and collaboration with subject matter experts
Work with teams to use best practices in developing and executing winning proposal strategies
Maintain and contribute to the content library
Support and contribute to account management planning activities
Document and update status of opportunities in our CRM system and participate in intelligence gathering and dissemination
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in a field relevant to technical sales or energy/utility-sector
Ability to learn technical topics quickly
Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects in a fast-paced consulting environment
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent team player who approaches work with a positive, constructive attitude
Demonstrated track record of excellence in writing for complex technical subjects and/or marketing
Strong communication skills
Creativity in problem solving and troubleshooting
Familiarity with MS office products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred
Familiarity and interest in the energy sector and/or consulting environment
Experience working with CRM systems and SharePoint
Experience using Adobe InDesign and Acrobat and MS Visio
