Job Requirement:
Seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst for UCPath Project who will be responsible for Applications Systems support. The candidate should have atleast 10 years of IT experience mainly implementing Middleware Solutions.

Responsibilities:
Participation in Infrastructure Design and implementation (capacity recommendations) for hosted solutions
Participation in discussions for new Application installations, upgrades, patches and the documentation of procedures as needed;
Performance of complex network integration tasks and interoperability assessments for interconnected servers or components of clusters for communication, as needed.
Respond to operational issues while managing internal and external customers.
Provide incident and problem management support while adhering to the operational Service Level Agreements.
Specifies, writes and executes highly complex software and scripts such as UNIX shell scripts and JACL scripts to support systems management, perform log analysis and other system administration duties such as installing, configuring and maintaining UCOP systems along with recommending architectural solutions.
Perform root cause analysis and helps with problem management process for incidents.
Provide production support services as required.
Qualifications

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and at least 8-10 years of relevant experience.
7
years of experience performing Middleware Administration in a load balanced environment with products such as F5-BIG IP and NetScaler.
5
years of experience with Apache/IHS/IIS web server administration.
Demonstrated expertise with trouble shooting J2EE applications on Unix/Windows systems. Demonstrated understanding of security concepts in a Middleware environment and experience writing UNIX shell scripts.
Demonstrated experience with configuration management tools like Puppet or Chef. Knowledge of Git is a plus.

Ability to learn new technologies and support applications.
Experience in load testing methodology and tools. Hands on experience testing client server java applications.
Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to interact with others in a consistently positive manner, exercising discretion and tact. Excellent written communications skills which demonstrate the ability to draft clear, concise specifications, documentation and reports.
Advanced communication skills to effectively convey and explain technical information and the ability to influence and persuade. Liaise with vendors, UC campuses and tactfully deal with diverse people and situations.
Strong analytical skills.

Demonstrated ability to plan assignments and monitor performance according to priorities as demonstrated by regularly meeting established deadlines. Ability to function in a leadership role on projects.
Demonstrated ability to perform competently under pressure, handling interruptions and changes without losing productivity.
Must be able to provide 24x7 on call support as assigned.

Preferred

Experience working as a systems engineer and/or developer responsible for design and implementation of SSO.
5

Experience with WebLogic, WebSphere, JBOSS, Chef/Puppet/Git

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
