Waypoint Homes is looking for a Content Specialist to fill out our small creative team and play a significant role in communicating what makes us special.
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Content Specialist handles the creation and sourcing of content for social media, the company website and blog, landing pages, email marketing, press releases and other use cases as needed. The ideal candidate is proficient in copywriting, script writing for video, photography/photo selection, and flowcharting ideas and workflows. This role may also include some basic shooting and editing of video. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing a steady stream of ideas to populate our editorial calendar
Keeping social media channels alive with fresh content, both original and curated
Rallying support from internal subject matter experts for development of blog content
Finding creative ways to promote engagement on social media and the blog
Reaching out to third parties for cross promotional content opportunities
Identifying and connecting with residents for the creation of testimonial videos
Evaluating Waypoint community projects for content opportunities
Monitoring social media channels and responding to followers
Setting up HTML email campaigns
Writing and updating content for collateral pieces
Proofreading and editing the work of internal and external contributors
Drafting press releases
Education in English, Journalism, Media Production or equivalent (B.A. Preferred)
A portfolio of writing and content creation
Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required
1-3 years of experience

Windows & OSX
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro & Photoshop is a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
