Prepares forms and maintains accurate records and files. Answers participants questions and assists in screening, recruiting, and consenting patients. Schedules examination appointments for study participants. Conducts structured telephone or in-person interviews w/study participants. Reviews questionnaires for completeness and accuracy; checks for inconsistencies; and codes open-ended questions. Prepares, mails, and processes questionnaires. Assists in tracing study participants. Prepares data for electronic processing. Keeps accurate records and files. The Division of Research (DOR) has an active epidemiologic research program in cancer etiology, prognosis, and survival. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on the Pathways Study, a prospective cohort study of breast cancer survivorship. Prepares follow-up study materials for mailing to participants requires daily interaction with ms access database. Logs in receipt of study materials into ms access database. Uses ms access database to generate timely letters, reports, and forms. Provides basic data management to track participants through study.
Requirements
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; telephone skills required. Familiar with medical terminology. Must be able to work in a labor/management partnership environment. Experience and knowledge of computer applications, such as word processing and database software, preferred. Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Familiarity with editing/coding questionnaires preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of computer database and word processing applications preferred.
