District Manager-Trainee

Successful multi-unit retail operator seeking a District Manager for the Oakland/San Francisco Area. We are an established, privately owned retail operator experiencing rapid growth and are seeking an individual to manage the strategic direction of store operations, marketing and business development.

Duties include developing and implementing new programs, products and services to increase customer participation. Aim to maximize the business's growth and profitability while leading and managing all company operations and functions.
Responsible for store managers and the stores' overall performance. Responsible for assisting in the budgeting along with the development and implementation of our annual plans with specific strategies to maximize performance. Work in a collaborative fashion to implement comprehensive business plans and strategies that will maximize the value of the respective store portfolio.

Responsible for selecting, evaluating, coaching, training and retaining qualified personnel in various positions. Coach and guide employees by interpreting corporate polices, setting goals and enforcing the mission of the organization for subordinates. Administrate diligence around documentation, process and security controls.

Assist in the planning and implementation of employee training. Assess job performance and conduct annual employee performance reviews for direct reports. Provide coaching on how to communicate more effectively and provide world class customer service.

Identify and resolve communication breakdowns within the management team and between the management team, the senior manager and the support staff. Identify issues that limit staff performance, individually and as a whole, and to identify solutions and make or implement necessary action to resolve these issues
Ensure effective use of available technologies & seek new technologies. Understand and execute on social media and internet marketing.

DESIRED SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills. Strong organizational, decision making, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to prioritize work and manage projects effectively are extremely important for the success of this role. The successful candidate must have strong existing experience in multi-unit retail or real estate operations.
Minimum Background and Experience Required
Great coaching skills
AA degree or equivalent with a major in business, finance or accounting preferred.
1 or more years of Multi-unit experience in a dynamic, retail or services organization with demonstrated progressive upward career mobility
Significant PC knowledge of Excel and Word applications and hardware including PC, modems, routers, etc.
Experience in strategic planning leading to store level execution
Knowledge of retail operations and an ability to provide a high level of customer service
Possess strong administrative, finance/analytical, management and personnel recruitment skills
Demonstrate a strong ability to lead and make critical decisions
Collaborative style and approach - team player
Excellent interpersonal communication skills; including oral and written communications
Position requires regular travel and working long hours; work may exceed 40 hours per week and weekends when necessary

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
