WELDERS AND SHIPFITTERS - WORK IN SAN DIEGO!
Journey Welders, Ship fitters and combo skilled trades are needed for new ship construction and ship repair in San Diego! Long term assignments of a year plus for the right candidates. Must be flexible and willing to work one of three shifts. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience. Ship Fitter candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience in the marine industry. JOURNEY WELDERS FROM OUTSIDE THE MARINE INDUSTRY WILL BE CONSIDERED!
Both welders and ship fitters must pass welding assessment test specific to their craft! Candidates from outside of San Diego will be offered a travel package including $400 reimbursement for travel expenses (after passing assessment testing), two weeks accommodations (will be reimbursed back to AF) and a $250 hiring bonus after first full day on the job. Pay for traveling workers is $20 per hour and $120 per day Per Diem. Drug testing and background checks required! (Ship Repair candidates must be able to pass RAPIDgate screening which includes a back ground check going back to 18 years of age) Great Opportunity!Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
