We are seeking a self-motivated, system savvy, team player with a wide variety of payroll management experience, including experience within a rapidly growing publicly traded company environment. This position will supervise the payroll staff on a day-to-day basis to ensure timely and accurate payroll and will be responsible for recording and reconciling payroll related financial information to the general ledger. In addition, this position will be an important partner for HR and Finance to ensure that process improvements are implemented to ensure that the payroll team is able to keep pace with the rapid growth of the company both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the accurate and timely processing of multi-state and international payrolls

? Supervise day-to-day work of payroll staff, including providing direction for tasks, coordinating priorities and resources, and providing guidance on performance and development opportunities

? Review current payroll, benefits and tax procedures and partner with HR to recommend and implement process improvements to establish best-practices

? Assist with identifying and resolving employee payroll issues.

? Prepare and review payroll journal entries, perform GL mapping, perform payroll related account analysis, record monthly accrual entries and reconcile payroll and benefit-related general ledger accounts on a timely basis

? Prepare and oversee preparation of a variety of payroll related documents (e.g. retirement plan contributions, FSA/HSA balances, payroll register, W-2, worker's compensation, PTO, local tax) for the purposes of compliance, internal control and audit

? Ensure compliance with all internal policies and controls as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance, including SOX

? Research discrepancies of payroll information and/or documentation to ensure payroll accuracy

? Prepare relevant reports and analysis for management, including monthly, quarterly and year-end for payroll, taxes, benefits, etc.

? Monitor and record tax payments and perform reconciliations in a timely manner

? Initial contact for all inquiries by internal/external parties relating to U.S. payroll and benefit expense and balance sheet accounts

? Maintain/expand knowledge of existing and new payroll related legislation.

? Implement Tier 1 Payroll system and provide support for integration of ERP, Stock administration systems

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Other Degree combined with relevant experience

? 4-6 years payroll management experience with a growing publicly-traded company (or similar environment)

? Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation

? Strong working knowledge of Excel

? Working knowledge of accounting concepts, including experience preparing and reviewing payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations

? Thorough knowledge of Federal and State wage laws

? Exposure to international payroll design, setup and processing

? Exposure to systems selection and implementation

? Must be a team player and highly organized

? Must have a positive Can Do attitude
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
