IAC Search & Media has a Software Engineer (Apps) 4 opening in Oakland, CA. Provide development support for the Ask.com family of websites and answers platform; As part of a team of Engineers and Designers, build and design new, innovative and cutting-edge features using latest internet technologies; Provide end-to-end client- and server-side development, writing clean, well-tested and maintainable code; Improve the current front-end Ask.com platform for performance, scalability and maintainability; Work closely with Product Team to prototype next-generation web products; Liaise with Engineers to define APIs for restful data services; Keep up-to-date and research new web technologies; Attend and participate in SCRUM meetings.
Requirements: Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field following by 5 years progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or computer related occupation.
Experience must include:
1. Java, JSP, JavaScript
2. Object Oriented Programming
3. XML, Spring and Hibernate
4. CSS, AJAX, HTML
5. Web Services
6. Cross-browser optimization
7. Selenium Integration Testing Framework
8. Linux command-line tools like grep, sed, awk, netstat ifconfig, curl etc. and shell scripting
9. Java JMX monitoring via VisualVM/jConsole
10. Java memory leak detection, analysis and remediation
11. JUnit/TestNG for unit/integration testing

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
