We are currently seeking a Machine Repair Supervisor to join our team at our facility in Oakland, CA.
Position is accountable for supervising hourly personnel in all phases of machine repair, maintenance, installation and rebuilds. Responsible for all related design and specification activities.
Principal Accountabilities:

Plans department work schedules and directs assignment of personnel and equipment.
Insures work is completed on time and revises work schedules to reflect changed plant or department priorities.
Analyzes operations and makes recommendations relative to changes in organization, personnel, equipment, department policies and procedures. Prepares departments short and long-range plans.
Hires and disciplines employees, supervises training and development of personnel, participates in grievances and ensures appropriate personnel policies and programs are properly applied.
Conducts periodic inspections of forming equipment including feeder mechanisms, bottle machines and various types of bottle handling equipment and takes appropriate action. Is responsible for departments preventive maintenance program.
Reviews bottle quality and mold equipment operating data; analyzes blueprints, job histories, specifications, etc. and makes recommendations relative to equipment operating adjustments and equipment design changes in order to assist with overall bottle quality program.
Responsible for plant machines parts inventory to ensure sufficient parts and mold equipment to maintain production while minimizing inventory costs. Also responsible for departments regular supplies, equipment and materials. Submits requisitions to purchasing and meets with vendor representatives to discuss technical requirements.
Conducts regular department meetings. Meets with supervisor and other plant staff to discuss common issues and projects. Has working relationship with Perrysburg machine, mold repair specialists, container engineering, and mold control.
Ensure correct use of safety equipment and that company safety policies are followed
Develops and administers department budget. Assists with development of 901 requests. Responsible for accurate preparation and maintenance of all department records and reports.
Oversees machine repair and mold maker apprenticeship programs.
Scope and Impact:
The positions emphasis is to provide a committed and high level of technical service, working in partnership with the Production Manager, TPMs, Line Leaders and Process Supervisors to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.
Position Requirements:
High school - Preference with some college.
Preference for B.S.M.E.
Specialized or Technical Knowledge
Management skills
Prior machine repair experience
Machinery Experience
Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the Production Manager.
Travel Requirements:
There may be some travel associated with this position for training and/or project work.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
