APN, LLC has openings for Lead Software Engineers. Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure to support local advertising data including requirements gathering, data modeling, metric design, and reporting. Design, build, and maintain a world-class product search platform serving millions of daily requests while handling millions of data updates. Focus on scalability, latency, performance robustness, and cost trade-offs in highly virtualized, elastic, cloud-based environments. Apply scientific analysis and mathematical modeling techniques to predict, measure and evaluate the consequences of designs and the ongoing success of our platform. Analyze business user requirements and provide technical solutions. System evaluation and tuning: Actively participate in testing in development cycle as well as testing data production, output evaluation and tuning for the best results. Utilizes graduate-level research and analysis skills. May telecommute.
Employer will accept Master's degree in
computer
Science, Engineering or related technical field and 60 months of work experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Education and/or experience must include: 1) Fast prototyping skills, familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Awk, Unix Shell Scripts/Tools; 2) Develop search application base on Lucene search text engine and Solr; 3) Hands-on software development in a web-based, high-volume, transactional environment using HTML/XHTML,CS5 and Javascript, AJAX, JSP spring mvc and tiles; 4) Hands-on experience with database programming with Oracle or MySQL; 5) Web application programming architectures, including the 3-tier model and the workings of HTTP, cookies; 6) Practical experience with XML and Json; 7) OOP software development; 8) Experience building Swing base desktop tools; 9) Hands-on software development building data pipelines using Hadoop, Pig and Streaming; 10) One or more additional server-side programming languages such as Perl, awk, bash; 11) Building application using spring, hibernate, ibatis and/or mybatis; 12) Practical experience with different string matching algorithms; 13) Practical experience building high scale API with high QPS. Experience may be gained concurrently.@ Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
