Senior Accounting Analyst Oakland, CA 6 Months Contract Remote Pay - $50.

00 per hour on CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO THE OAKLAND OFFICE/BAY AREA ASSIGNMENT IS MOSTLY REMOTE BUT WILL BE REQUIRED AT OAKLAND OFFICE ONCE A MONTH TOP THINGS LOOKING FOR:
- Experience, communication skills, attention to detail.
- Prepares monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepares complex 10-Q & 10-K reporting disclosures and supporting work paper documentation.
- Assists in setup of processes, procedures and other improvement efficiencies.
- Identifies process improvements to reduce risk and create efficiencies at the desk level.
- Assists in the implementation of process improvement initiatives undertaken by the department.
- Reviews and interprets policies, reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
- Identifies issues, proposes solutions, and documents conclusions with minimal supervision.
- Manages communication with external parties (e.
g.
Client) and addresses inquiries.
- Interprets data, reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
- Provides supporting documentation and explanations to internal and external auditors.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications - BS degree in Accounting, Finance or Business - Minimum of 3 years in public accounting Desired Qualifications - Demonstrated knowledge of the utility industry and working in a regulated environment.
- CPA - Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) - Experience with SAP or Blackline - Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge - Two or more years of SEC reporting experienceAbout the Company:
