We are currently looking for a dependable, motivated, compassionate and detail-oriented candidate to join our team.
We have 2 offices located in Oakland (main office) and Pleasant Hill, therefore traveling will be required 1-2 times per week.
Knowledge of insurance verification including Medicare, Medi-Cal and commercial insurance.
Knowledge of medical terminology is a must.
Knowledge of DME or Orthotics & Prosthetics is a plus.
A friendly personality, enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented with excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills are required as well.

com RESPONSIBILITIES Meet and greet scheduled patients Answer phones Patient scheduling Patient data input Insurance verification Financial counseling Collect and post patient co-insurance payments Obtain documentation required by insurances needed by billing department Maintain WIP (work in progress) patient files Maintain stocked inventory Other office duties as necessary REQUIREMENTS Experience in health related, clinical front desk setting Exemplary customer service skills is essential Strong verbal communication skills Punctual Computer proficient Must treat all encounters and information with discretion and confidentiality as per HIPPA Must be able to extract information from clinical data to answer insurance questions Strong working knowledge of insurance benefits and terminology with the expectation to explain to patients their benefit for service to be provided and their financial responsibility Pleasant, friendly, dependable, good interpersonal skills, maintain professional mannerism when under pressure.
Ability to handle multiple projects and set priorities that accurately reflect the importance of job responsibilities Ability to recognize and solve problems Bilingual (Spanish) - not mandatory but is a plus.
