The Sustainability Analyst will be a key member of Clorox's ESG and Sustainability team and will be responsible for supporting corporate sustainability initiatives, carbon reduction, data analysis, and reporting.
The Sustainability Analyst will work cross-functionally to gather and analyze the company's environmental sustainability data and will support the calculation of our annual carbon footprint, automation of emissions data collection and analysis, and 3rd party assurance against prevailing standards (i.
e.
Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi), etc).
This position can be located in one of the following offices:
Oakland, CA; Pleasanton, CA; Durham, NC; or Alpharetta, GA.
(Relo will not be provided.
) In this role, you will:
Lead the collection and analysis of Clorox's annual footprint data, analyzing data for accuracy and alignment with Clorox's ESG targets.
Identify and evaluate carbon accounting best practices, updated methods, and the latest emission factors from accepted external sources.
Quantify and present Clorox's annual carbon footprint and related analyses to support IGNITE ESG targets.
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis, including synthesizing findings and developing a storyline to support ESG communications.
Identify and recommend methods and processes to streamline the collection, storage, and verification of footprint data.
Partner with ESG controllership to strengthen non-financial ESG data reported in our integrated annual report and to obtain assurance from 3rd party auditors.
Create and manage internal ESG progress dashboards and scorecards.
Support environmental disclosure reporting for key ratings and rankings including CDP, DJSI, MSCI and others.
Ensure alignment with GHG Protocol, SBTi, and other relevant accounting and disclosure standards that emerge (e.
g.
ISO, ISSB).
Manage life cycle assessment tool to optimize decision-making for the business units and support cross-functional business partners with analytical insights and problem-solving.
What we look for:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in environmental science, sustainability, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of experience in ESG data tracking, analysis, and management with a strong understanding of sustainability principles.
Experience with non-financial reporting and ESG standards and reporting frameworks and ratings, including SASB, TCFD, SDGs, CDP.
Experience with packaging and decarbonization data a strong plus.
Experience with data systems including SAP.
Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to present metrics, explain findings, and articulate issues and challenges together with proposed solutions.
Strong project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders of multiple levels; collaborative and flexible style, with an approach to work that motivates and energizes others; strong team player.
Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize projects and work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

$86,600 - $161,900 -Zone B:
$79,400 - $148,400 -Zone C:
