We provide senior assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to meet a variety of health care needs.

The Director of Staff Development:

Assess, plans, implements, schedules, and evaluates mandatory inservice program hours for CNAs in Skilled Nursing.

Develops and implements orientation, skills development and new programs in these areas as conditions require.
Assists and trains staff on the use of the Electronic Health Records system.

Assesses skill levels and learning needs of CNAs through direct observation in clinical rounds and makes interventions as necessary.

Provides community-wide mandatory education hours and inservice programs.

Evaluates programs for effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Assists nursing staff on the floor and assumes floor nurse duties in the event of an emergency or staffing shortages.

Functions as Infection Control Program Coordinator in skilled nursing department.
Here's what you need:

Current license by the State of California as a licensed nurse.

College degree in a related field.

Minimum of three years of Skilled Nursing experience.

Demonstrated ability in staff development, nursing administration and or supervision in a long term care setting.

Knowledge of aging process and implications of aging in a social setting, including dementia and programs relating to caring for those with dementia.

Must be a motivated and independent individual who can organize workload so that all functions are completed appropriately.
Skills and Attributes:

Sensitivity and knowledge of working with older adults and the aging process.

Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to successfully work in a multi-cultural environment.

Working knowledge of computers and typing, sufficient enough to be successful with computerized Point of Care and other systems.

Ability to identify need, develop, and manage programs and systems simultaneously.

Excellent interpersonal skills, superb customer service skills and a team player.
