We are seeking a skilled Paralegal with ideally two to three years of experience to join our team in our Oakland office.
Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, and we offer excellent benefits.
Primary Responsibilities Maintain contact with clients, opposing party and counsel involved in cases Communicate with clients, keeping them informed of the status of their case Prepare Initial documents:
Summons and Petition, Response, Domestic Violence Restraining Orders, Requests for Order, Ex Parte, correspondence, declarations, and pleadings.
Prepare subpoenas, discovery requests, prepare responses to discovery and other case-related documents.
Organize, track, build and maintain case files.
Schedule client appointments, manage calendar, and keep attorneys and clients informed of scheduled court dates.
Assist with hearing/trial preparation.
Be familiar with filing deadlines.
Perform miscellaneous job duties related to the position.
Required Qualifications Ability to multitask independently using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to achieve a high level of productivity consistently.
Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Experience with case management software.
Attention to detail.
High level of computer competency, in the complete Microsoft Office Suite, Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PDF conversion - Requires the ability to work 40 hours a week, preferably M-F 9:

Paralegal degree/certificate.
