SCADA Engineer
Location:
Remote but work in PST time zone
Fulltime only (USC/GC)
- Proven experience as a SCADA Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SCADA software platforms (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Wonderware, Ignition).
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, DNP3).
- Familiarity with PLC programming and configuration.
- Understanding of network design and cybersecurity principles for SCADA systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining system reliability.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is a plus.
- Certification in SCADA or industrial automation is advantageous.

- SCADA System Design:
Collaborate with project teams to design and develop SCADA systems tailored to specific industrial processes and requirements. - System Implementation:
Configure, program, and deploy SCADA hardware and software components, including Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and communication p protocols. - Real-time Monitoring:
Continuously monitor SCADA systems to ensure the stability, security, and performance of industrial processes. Respond promptly to alarms and abnormalities. - Data Analysis:
Analyze real-time and historical data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues. Develop strategies for process optimization based on data insights. - Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Diagnose and resolve SCADA system malfunctions and software bugs. Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and system backups. - Cybersecurity:
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA systems from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities. - Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of SCADA system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures. - Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including automation engineers, process engineers, and IT professionals, to ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems with other infrastructure c components. - Compliance:
Ensure SCADA systems adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, such as NIST, ISA-95, and IEC 62443. - Training:
Provide training and support to operators and maintenance teams to enhance their understanding of SCADA systems and troubleshooting capabilities.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
