Insurance Coverage Attorney
Our client is currently seeking a skilled Partner-level attorney with a strong book of business and expertise in insurance coverage work, coupled with litigation and trial experience. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in handling complex insurance coverage matters and a keen interest in expanding their practice to international markets. This role offers the opportunity to work independently and autonomously, while also collaborating with a dynamic team of legal professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload of insurance coverage matters including, but not limited to:
- Commercial General Liability Coverage Side A and B Claims
- Excess Liability
- Professional Liability
- Directors and Officers
- Public Entities
- Contractor s Liability
- Environmental Pollution
- Cyber Security / Privacy Liability
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and other industry stakeholders
- Provide strategic guidance and counsel to clients on insurance coverage issues
- Stay abreast of legal developments and trends in insurance law
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California Bar
- Minimum 10 years of experience practicing insurance coverage law
- Portal book of business of at least 500k
- Proven litigation and trial experience, including courtroom advocacy
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
