The 2nd Floor Receptionist is often the first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment at HAART.
This position requires someone who is motivated by their desire to help others to improve their lives.
Other Key Qualities:
This person will need to be patient, empathetic, organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
This person must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
These are the main responsibilities for this role:
Reception/Client Check in:
Greet patients with a positive, upbeat attitude Enter and manage patient health information in electronic health record Answer phones and handle/forward/distribute messages as needed Organize and maintain reception area, dispensing lobby, and restrooms in a professional, attractive, manner Accept and record payments from clients; reconcile payments and deliver to Bookkeeper at the end of each shift Collect urine samples from clients; reconcile UA list with samples collected at the end of each shift Conduct breathalyzer and other tests with clients Provide information & referral for crisis information and other services Monitor security and ensure staff presence in waiting areas Provide clerical support by managing mail, fax, phones, document scanning and data entry for clinical staff Maintain client privacy and confidentiality Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties as needed If the following qualifications fit you, we would like to chat with you:
Pleasant and professional demeanor and appearance Experience in behavioral health care preferred but not required.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task, solve problems, and handle difficult situations under pressure with ease.
Computer proficiency Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.
Have reliable transportation to travel to our Oakland offices and sometimes to our offices in Hayward.
