The City of Oakland is currently recruiting to fill multiple Custodian, PT (Part-Time) vacancies within the Public Works Department.
Incumbents perform a variety of custodial duties in assigned buildings and perform minor maintenance as required, they respond to request for enhanced cleaning and sanitizing to prevent the spread of germs and virus and ensure clean safe and healthy buildings.
Incumbents perform heavy routine cleaning, recycling, moving and setting-up of furniture, and other general custodial duties.
The Custodian receives general supervision from a Custodian Supervisor & Custodial Supervisor I.
This is an at-will position, exempt from the provisions of the City of Oakland Civil Service Rules (per Charter Section 902f).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
