Duties include:
Taking notes during meetings, record thorough and accurate meeting notes for Board and Committee meeting, revise into formal minutes.
For Board minutes, first send to the Board Secretary for approval.
Provide administrative support to Board leadership to plan and coordinate regular Board and committee meetings and an Annual meeting, as well as the development and distribution of meeting materials prior to meeting.
Managing incoming and outgoing communications, Updating Websites, Maintain, utilize, and enhance existing systems of the organization's digital folders and files (stored in Google Docs) as needed, including meeting notes, event planning documents, budget spreadsheets, etc.
Assisting with updating newsletters, Initiating, coordinating, and managing community projects to stimulate the local business economy.
Examples ranging from streetscape improvements to public art to special events, assisting with compliance as needed, working with small business owners, collaborating with local artists overseeing logistic on commissions for public works such as murals, infrastructure improvement projects, community partnerships, or events Periodically updating social media outlets.
Required Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.
General typing skills.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
Reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
WordPress, Constant Contact/ MailChimp, Google apps, SalesForce, and social media.

Salary:
This is a permanent, part-time position of approximately 20-hrs per week.
Starting pay for this position is $30,000 per year or $25-30 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
The Office Administrator and Project Manager will have the opportunity to make lasting connections with business, governmental, and other community stakeholders, developing an expansive database of influential members of the Oakland and Berkeley community.

Your focus will be on the communications, marketing, events, and administrative support functions for each BID.
